I'm Abenezer Petros, an aspiring electrical engineer driven by hands-on experimentation
in high-voltage physics, power electronics, and embedded systems.
I graduated as Valedictorian of my campus and Salutatorian overall at
Gibson School Systems (Class of 2026), and achieved an outstanding national score of 569.75 /
600 on the Ethiopian Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (ESSLCE) — with
98.0 in English, 96.67 in Physics, and 95.0 in
Mathematics.
My engineering passion revolves around physical hardware and applied electromagnetic theory: from
designing high-voltage switching power supplies with flyback transformers and building resonant air-core
Tesla coils (both spark-gap and solid-state Slayer Exciter designs), to mastering microcontroller
firmware with Arduino and C/C++.
My academic foundations are reinforced by Rice University Physics 102 credentials in
Electric Potential & DC Circuits and Electric Charges & Fields, an
IELTS Academic Band 8.0 (CEFR C1), an Udacity Programming Fundamentals Nanodegree, and
Sololearn intermediate certifications across C, C++, and Python.
